In the land of KATATINUT, resided a gathering of exceptional scriptwriters with various backgrounds and captivating personalities. Led by the wise Titien Wattimena, KATATINUT embarked on a sacred quest of creative growth and the enchanting craft of storytelling. Swiftly, it emerged as the cherished haven for those yearning for extraordinary and revitalizing tales, meticulously woven by gifted writers of the utmost brilliance and skill.
The inhabitans
Once upon a time, there lived a gifted storyteller named Titien Wattimena, affectionately known as Tinut. In the year 2004, Tinut embarked on a remarkable journey by writing her very first film, "Mengejar Matahari," which quickly captured hearts and earned her a nomination for the esteemed Best Screenplay Award at Piala Citra 2004. Since then, Tinut's pen has danced across countless pages, crafting mesmerizing stories and receiving accolades for her exceptional original scripts and adaptations.
Tinut's talents knew no bounds. Embracing a noble role in PILAR, a special association that nurtures the creative spirits of Indonesian screenwriters, she rose to the esteemed position of Chairperson for the years 2022-2024. Alongside her dedication to PILAR, Tinut generously shared her wisdom with aspiring writers at the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ), acting as a mentor to ignite the flames of their creativity.
Tinut's literary prowess extended beyond the silver screen. Producers, mesmerized by her skilful storytelling, entrusted her with crafting captivating series and enchanting musical stage plays. Her words wove melodies that stirred emotions, casting a magical spell upon audiences near and far.
Then, in the year 2023, a brilliant idea sparked within Tinut's heart. She decided to create a universe called KATATINUT, where scriptwriters would flourish and grow together. And so, KATATINUT was born, and soon it became a thriving realm, bustling with talented writers and creative souls.
In the heart of KATATINUT, Tinut stood as a radiant beacon of positive energy. With boundless joy and warm smiles, she infused the cultural universe of KATATINUT with an everlasting sense of happiness and wonder. Her vibrant spirit continued to inspire and unleash tales that touched the deepest corners of the souls of all who encountered them.
Tika was one of the very first to grace this magical universe. Since the early year of 2002, Tika embarked on an exciting journey in the world of film production. She conquered the hearts of various producers and directors with her remarkable skills. With her strong hands, Tika's experience as a Line Producer in dozens of films has proven that she can ensure the works written by KATATINUT are not only delivered on time but also satisfy the creative and production aspects.
Although firm, Tika is the one who cares most about the well-being of the inhabitants of KATATINUT. She always pays attention to their welfare and happiness, showering them with care and warmth. Tika's presence brings comfort and assurance, making sure everyone in KATATINUT feels safe and content.
As an assistant lecturer at IKJ, Ian possessed the remarkable ability to create complete frameworks. Every word he spoke carried profound meaning, despite his rare utterances. This lover of dark colours understood the art of transforming ideas and emotions into symbols and scenes.
With his gentle presence and sharp perception, Ian’s contributions added richness and nuance to the stories, captivating audiences and evoking a wide range of emotions.
Ayu is a multitalented person who came from the bustling city of Surabaya. Despite graduating in mass communication, Ayu's strong desire to become a screenplay writer led her on a journey to Jakarta in 2012 to learn the art of writing alongside Titien. Since then, Ayu has written scripts for films, series, and television movies (FTV). With her unique blend of creativity and humour, she brings characters to life and creates narratives that resonate with viewers. Ayu's journey as a writer is a testament to the power of pursuing one's dreams and never giving up.
As a hopelessly romantic person, Lynda always succeeds in creating an 'aww' scene. At first glance, she may have seemed shy and reserved, but her written creations had the power to evoke a sense of warmth and adoration. Every dialogue she wrote was like a love potion, capable of stirring the deepest emotions.
Another unique creature in KATATINUT’s realm is Karel. Young in age, he possessed the most knowledge of the ever-evolving trends among youth including technology and fashion. Despite hailing from Medan, this creature's resilience and adaptability had made him a force to be reckoned with. His journey through the vast and unforgiving universe had prepared them to face any obstacle, and the deadlines of KATATINUT were merely a small hurdle in his path.
Relaxed but determined, that is Ummu's motto whenever she writes. This Makassar’s girl who is also a sport enthusiast has written a novel while she was still a student. Despite raised in Islamic boarding school, she has an open-minded perspective on life.
On a corner of KATATINUT’s realm, there is a shy and reserved girl named Effrina. At first meeting, she may have seemed quiet, but beneath her timid exterior, she possessed a heart filled with warmth and determination.
Originally from Lampung, this girl believed in the power of action over words, and her work spoke volumes about her commitment to excellence. With her focused mind and diligent spirit, she would effortlessly carry out her tasks, completing them with minimal revisions.
Bu Tia is the go-to person whenever the other inhabitants needs an ammunition for brainstorming session. Like a supermom, she had a list of all the delicious snacks and treats that would surely satisfy everyone's cravings. With her boundless energy and meticulous nature, Ibu Tia was the master of reading the room. Her keen eye for detail and her organizational skills ensured that everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
Spirited and handy, are the reason why Alfian’s presence was highly valued in this universe. He had a remarkable ability to find solutions and overcome challenges with ease. Only one thing that could stand in his way, and that was spicy food. It had the power to make him sweat profusely, as if he had just run under the scorching heat of the sun. Despite his formidable skills, spicy food was his only adversary.
A gentle and wise man, Adih’s presence brings tranquillity and refreshment for the writers team. Known also as the most devoted in prayer, Adih never forget to put a smile on his face that makes him even more memorable to everyone.
