Sugi (Ibrahim Risyad) is a tobacco collector facing a failed harvest and trapped in debt to a cruel boss. He, along with his wife, Rohmah (Fanny Ghassani), and their youngest child, tries to find a way out, but the dark option of 'child's blood' black magic (pesugihan ‘getih anak’) emerges as a quick solution.
This decision, however, opens the door to supernatural terror that haunts the family, not because of an external entity, but because of unforgivable sin and usury (riba). Riba illustrates how debt can become a curse, and how one financial decision can destroy domestic harmony.
