Twenty-three years after Ada Apa dengan Cinta? (AADC) shook the Indonesian film industry, Miles Films is bringing the iconic love story back in a rebirth titled Rangga & Cinta. The film is set to hit theaters nationwide on October 2, 2025.

Unlike its predecessor, Rangga & Cinta comes with a fresh musical touch. A lineup of Gen Z actors steps into the legendary roles: El Putra Sarira as Rangga, Leya Princy as Cinta, alongside Rafly Altama (Mamet), Daniella Tumiwa (Karmen), Katyana Mawira (Milly), Kyandra Sembel (Maura), Jasmine Nadya (Alya), and Rafi Sudirman (Borne).

Producer Mira Lesmana calls this project a “rebirth,” not merely a remake. The new cast marks the arrival of fresh talents in Indonesian cinema, while the musical format promises a different viewing experience that still carries a touch of nostalgia for those who grew up with AADC.

Just like AADC became a cultural milestone in the early 2000s, Rangga & Cinta is highly anticipated to resonate with today’s generation. How will this timeless love story be retold?
